Caremart Footcare Services (Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale)

Caremart Footcare are developing a much needed toe nail cutting service in the Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale area.

The service complements the existing service provided by the NHS Podiatry Service and will develop along the lines of a social enterprise model to reach sustainability.

At Present we are working in partnership with Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale PCT and Partnership for Older Peoples Project (POPPs) to set up the service.

We have established a base at Callaghan House in Heywood and have provisionally started the service throughout the borough and intend to be fully operational by early July 2010.

The service will be provided at centre based clinics and also home visits can be arranged.

The service is for anyone who is:

• A resident in Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale area
• Unable to cut their own toe nails
• Not receiving a toe nail cutting service from the NHS

The proposed cost is £6.00 at a clinic and £9.00 for a home visit.
